Privacy Policy
Mendhue repairs old printed family photos. This policy explains what the app sends, to whom, and what stays on your device.
In short
- No account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- Your photos and results stay on your device.
- When you tap Repair, Colorize or Guess the year, the photo is sent through our server to an image model provider and is not stored on our server.
What we collect
Device ID. The app creates a random ID on your device and stores it in the Keychain. It is sent to our server to keep your credit balance. It is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID.
Purchase transaction IDs. When you buy credits, the transaction ID is checked once to add the credits and to prevent the same purchase being used again.
Your photos
When you tap Repair or Colorize, the photo is sent through our server (api.sanghuynhxuan.com) to OpenAI for image editing. When you tap Guess the year, a smaller copy of the photo is sent through our server to Anthropic.
Photos are processed in the moment and are not stored on our server. OpenAI and Anthropic handle the photos they receive under their own API terms.
The app shows this notice before your first upload and asks for your agreement.
What stays on your device
Your original photos, repaired photos and results are stored on your device. Saving to Photos uses add-only access: Mendhue can add a photo to your library but cannot read the rest of it.
Deleting your photos
You can delete one photo, or all photos, inside the app. Copies you saved to the Photos app stay there until you delete them in Photos.
Children
Mendhue is not directed at children under 13.
